Commercial Floors Have Different Demands

Residential garage floors and commercial concrete floors share the same basic installation process — but commercial environments introduce demands that residential systems aren't designed to handle: heavier traffic loads, chemical exposure, cleaning chemical contact, and the need for minimal operational downtime during installation.

At HH Next-Level Epoxy, we install commercial floor systems throughout the Kansas City metro — from small retail stores to large warehouses, schools, churches, and institutional facilities. Every project starts with the same prep-first approach we apply to residential work. The difference is in how we spec the system.

Schools and Educational Facilities

School floors see constant foot traffic, frequent cleaning with commercial disinfectants, and need to perform for decades with minimal maintenance. We've installed epoxy systems in Kansas City area schools that meet slip-resistance requirements, are resistant to common institutional cleaning chemicals, and hold up to the kind of daily abuse that comes with hundreds of students and staff.

For school corridors, classrooms, and common areas, we typically recommend a full broadcast flake system over an epoxy base coat with a durable polyaspartic topcoat. The flake system provides natural slip resistance and hides scuffs and minor wear better than a solid color system.

Churches and Houses of Worship

Church fellowship halls, gymnasium floors, and mechanical rooms are some of the most common commercial projects we handle in the KC area. These spaces need to handle large gatherings, heavy furniture movement, folding table and chair traffic, and often serve as community event spaces that see varied use week after week.

We can also incorporate design elements — custom color combinations, logo zones, and line striping — that help define spaces within larger fellowship halls or gymnasium areas.

Warehouses and Industrial Facilities

Warehouse and industrial floors face the harshest conditions: forklift traffic, pallet jack loads, chemical spills, and often 24-hour operations. For these environments, we specify:

Minimizing Operational Downtime

For businesses that can't fully shut down, we offer phased installation — coating sections of the floor while other areas remain operational. Polyaspartic topcoats return to service within 24 hours of application, which allows us to complete most commercial projects with minimal disruption to your operations.

We schedule around your business — evenings, weekends, and holiday periods are all options depending on the scope of work.
