Flake System Flooring Kansas City
The full broadcast flake system is our most popular residential and commercial floor option — and for good reason. It combines a highly durable epoxy and polyaspartic system with a decorative, textured finish in 16 signature color blends. The flake broadcast creates natural slip resistance, hides minor surface imperfections, and produces a floor that's as attractive as it is functional.
Full broadcast means the flake chips are thrown into the wet base coat at 100% coverage — meaning the entire floor surface is covered with flake, edge to edge, with no bare spots. This is different from a "partial broadcast" or decorative scatter, which leaves significant bare areas between chips. Full broadcast provides superior slip resistance, better adhesion for the topcoat, and a more consistent finished appearance.
We offer 16 signature color blends across two collections: 10 standard ¼" flake blends included in all installs, and 6 premium Hybrid blends available for a small upcharge. Names include Arrowhead, Houndstooth, Nightfall, Feather Grey, Outback, Ozark, and more. We bring physical sample boards to every estimate so you can see the actual colors in your space before deciding.

Yes — the full broadcast flake creates a naturally textured surface with excellent traction, even when wet. This is one of the primary reasons flake systems are preferred for garage floors and commercial spaces.
No — the chips are permanently embedded between the base coat and the polyaspartic topcoat. Once cured, the flake is part of the coating system, not sitting on top of it. It cannot peel or separate under normal use.
