What 100% Solids Means

Epoxy products range from water-based systems at 30–50% solids (common at home improvement stores) to 100% solids industrial formulations. We use 100% solids epoxy exclusively. The difference is straightforward: 100% solids means 100% of what you apply stays on the floor after curing. A 50% solids product loses half its volume to evaporation, leaving a significantly thinner film that bonds less deeply and degrades faster.

A UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat is then applied over the cured epoxy to provide UV stability, scratch resistance, and the fast-cure properties that allow same-day topcoating. This hybrid approach gives you the best of both systems.
